“Hi, I am Cian and despite being new to the Danbury Fitness team I have been involved in fitness and the gym for as long as I can remember!

Sport and fitness have always been a huge part of my life. I’ve been involved with professional football clubs, and I now play semi-professional football. Beyond football, I’ve thrown myself into almost every sport and fitness challenge I can — most recently running and Hyrox — because I love testing myself in different ways and learning what the body is capable of.

I am a level 3 personal trainer and a third-year Sport and Exercise Science student at the University of Essex – where I have also spent time with the Human Performance Unit to test and work with athletes from professional footballers to ironman athletes and help them perform at their best.

But here’s the thing! You don’t need to be an athlete to train with me. My coaching background means I know how to adapt training to suit anyone, whether you are brand new to the gym, looking to get stronger/fitter, or chasing a big personal goal. My goal as your coach will stay the same: to help you move better, feel stronger, and achieve results in a way that’s sustainable, enjoyable, and tailored to you.

Make sure to come say hi when you see me about in the gym, I am always up for a chat! Unless it is about why Arsenal will not win the league again…
